Sacramento, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Sacramento Kings added Hall of Famer Alex English to their coaching staff on Friday. English spent the last seven seasons as an assistant coach and director of player development with the Toronto Raptors.

 

A second-round selection by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1976, English is predominantly known for spending 11 of his 16 NBA seasons with the Denver Nuggets. He led the franchise to nine consecutive playoff appearances -- including a berth in the 1985 Western Conference Finals -- from 1982-1990.

 

The 23-year-old appeared in 43 games (three starts) last season -- his first in the league -- with Houston and Memphis, averaging 2.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10.3 minutes.

 

Mullens, a second-year center out of Ohio State, has been a rare bright spot during Charlotte's gloomy stretch. He had a career-high 21 points in Thursday's loss to the Hawks.

 

Still, his production has done little to compensate for the Bobcats' defensive woes. They entered Friday allowing a league-worst 102.7 points per game and did little to thwart an offensively-challenged Detroit squad.

 

They led 51-39 at the half, 78-59 after three and cruised through the fourth en route to the easy win.

 

Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tyler Hansbrough's offensive rebound and ensuing free throws with 14.8 seconds left put Indiana on top for good as the Pacers took a 95-90 comeback victory over the Toronto Raptors. Hansbrough finished with 13 points and six rebounds to go along with George Hill's season-high 22 points in the Pacers' fourth win in five games.
